Whiskey the Whippet was appointed Best in Show in the 17 th annual National Dog Show Presented by Purina on Thanksgiving Day. The hound dethroned the previous champion, Newton the Brussels Griffon.
Speaking with NBC after prevailing the entitlement, Whiskey's handler Justin Smithey said," I think[ he's] an outstanding example of what the ideal whippet would look like," he said." This is our companion, our domesticated. He was born by my couch ."

Whiskey the Whippet won the Hound Group before going on to beat the Doberman Pinscher for the most significant prize.
