TOLEDO( WTOL)- Toledo fire crews say 13 pups were killed in a south Toledo house fire sometime Monday nighttime.
The fire happened at a dwelling on the 600 stymies of Walbridge near Broadway around 11:30 p.m.
Crews say the fire started inside of an elderly duplex which had been turned into a single household dwelling.
No parties were home at the time of the burn, but crews say 13 pups died from smoke breath.
Eight of the dogs were puppies and five pups were adults.
Crews were at the stage for more than three hours put forward by hot spots, and there was significant damage to the dwelling.
Battalion Chief Bryce Blair says the burn appears to be accidental, but a burn sleuth efforts to pinpoint the exact lawsuit.
